Taminn Design

Goodbye 2015, hello 2016! What felt like a year set at lighting speed, 2015 did provide some of the finest global interiors I’ve witnessed to date.

Where to go from here you might well ask? How about we start having a bit of fun with our homes, there’s a lifetime of seriousness that we deal with on a daily basis, why shouldn’t our homes provide us with some light relief?

Taiwan based interiors firm, tAMMIN Design, are advocates of such a theory: “Time makes us grow and mature, but we have to always keep our souls playful, no matter how old we are”. A recently finished residential project for a young couple showcases their ethos, a delight of an apartment that achieves the role of playfulness without being too whimsical. The personal touches such as the owners names up in lights adds a homely feel as well as a striking feature. A whole host of materials have been introduced eliminating any chance of this home being minimalist. Warm, dark textures are highlighted with metallic panelling and bold colours. Clever lighting awakens the senses, and an underlying industrial theme links to the style and feel of the building itself.

So in 2016 my hope is that your home makes you smile. Let it enrich your personality while you reap the therapeutic rewards!

Best wishes,

Jess from Hector and Bailey
