Two key words in decor this autumn are ‘tactile’ and ‘textures’. To bring this to life, Coricraft has launched its Cultural Fusion range, a mix of decor accessories that would work well in any household because of the melting pot of worldly items that were chosen.

The inspiration for the range came from a mix of ethnic cultures, textures, colours and materials and picks up on what was evident at recent international trade shows. Explains Elmarie Stegmann from Coricraft: “Over the past year there were many “cultural/ethnic” elements coming through. We sifted through them and selected textures, shapes, materials and colours that lend themselves to be ‘Coricrafted’”.

The secret to the collection is the subtly of it, which means it slots in easily with any existing décor scheme. The concept was achieved by sticking to interesting natural textures and materials – including linen, wool, cotton, leather and bamboo − and fusing this with a mostly neutral colour palette, (with red, orange, blue, grey and green accents).

Scatter cushions form the base of the collection with many interesting prints, paisleys, florals, faces and landscapes, while the rest of the range runs the gauntlet between functional and beautiful. Think oversized metal table lamps, Moroccan inspired hanging lanterns and bamboo birdcages in a number of different sizes.
