Travelers edition of fabulous design

The internet and accessible travel have turned our world into a global village. We’re tapping more and more into the many global influences that impact on what we eat, wear and how we live our lives.

The East meets West interior design style, made famous by designer Kelly Hoppen, was just the beginning of this global journey… it now embraces corners of the globe yet undiscovered by the masses.

Whether an avid world traveler or just wanting to pay homage to your heritage, global inspired interiors are the decor flavour of the moment and, if trend forecasters are indeed correct, of the future. Vintage trunks and distressed world maps are somewhat cliché, a more sophisticated design approach abounds.

Crafting from exotic climes and the mixture of textures and materials makes for a layered and soulful interior that is at once unique and intriguing. Materials range from bamboo, antique copper and Mother-of-Pearl to leather, grass and faux bone and patterns embrace geometrics, tribal motifs and Ikat.

Box Living’s new Travelers Edition collection embraces this décor style combining the best global inspired style and craftsmanship in one ‘globetrotting’ furniture collection.
